We are a thriving independent German/English primary and secondary school with 370 students and 90 members of staff from countries all over the world. We believe in an inclusive approach to providing education to mixed-age groups, as well as welcoming people of all income levels. We are equally committed to building an anti-racist community. What this means to us is active practice, measurable action and ongoing conversations amongst staff, students and parents.

Under Berlin state law we are only able to employ: Teachers who hold a university degree in primary/elementary school education and/or their QTS qualification. Without this qualification we are unable to offer any position, regardless of the applicants' experience. Qualifications such as TEFL or CELTA teacher are not adequate. Carers who have a relevant qualification in early childhood/nursery education. Without this qualification we are unable to offer any position, regardless of the applicants' experience.
Data privacy
Applications (either electronically or in writing) of potential BBS staff may be stored up to three months upon receiving. Any extension of the length of saving of the application needs prior approval of the applicant. Background checks may be conducted on all applicants who pass the first interview successfully.
