The governance of Berlin Bilingual School is in the hands of two organizations:  Berlin Kids International e.V. and Pfefferwerk Stadtkultur gGmbH.

Berlin Kids International e.V. is an association run by a board of eight elected members. Association membership consists largely of parents of students, but is open to anyone involved with or interested in the school. The BKI e.V. is responsible for the governance of the Hort.  It is also charged with ensuring that the school’s educational concept is upheld, and votes on any major changes to the implementation or interpretation of the concept. Association meetings are also used for general updates about the school, parent work group reports and other practical matters.

All interested parties are welcome to attend and participate in the discussions although only Association members are able to vote on the issues. The Association is required by law to hold at least one gathering a year, but holds meetings every 2-3 months, usually on Tuesday nights at the school. The Association also plays a role in the social life of the school, organizing both formal and informal events for parents.
